Jack grew up in a house full of magic, and he has always been smart and caught onto things extremely fast. At school, Jack gets good grades and has friends, but mainly keeps to himself.

Jared- Wow. My life got really complicated, really fast. I kind of like this Moroi, Raven.... but it didn't really go anywhere. Then I hooked up with another guardian-in-training, Valerie, but again, it didn't go anywhere... I'm training a Moroi, Layla, who has an earth affinity. She's got talent and I think I can get somewhere with her, but she's also got a very big mouth... It wouldn't be so bad except that I offered to go to the feeders with her, thinking I could handle it, but I couldn't. It just made me start thinking of my dad.... Then there's Mia. I've been training her for a while and she's always been a bit of a flirt with me, but I always thought it would never go anywhere. Even though she can make people frightened on her own, it's a bit hard sometimes, especially on people with strong minds, so she prefers to feed on fear not produced by herself. Callie only needs to be close to whomever is frightened in order to absorb their fear.
